CARL VERHEYEN MASTER CLASS

Description

Master guitarist Carl Verheyen has been an adjunct instructor of studio jazz guitar for the USC Thornton School of Music and leads Master Classes worldwide, solo and with his Carl Verheyen Band. This class will bring together the Rim High School and Middle school music students and is open to the public at no charge. Rim of the World High School Music Director, Kari Stebbing, will be directing the class with Carl Verheyen. Community members are invited to attend this special event that is separate from the Blue Jay Jazz Festival. This unique opportunity only presents itself every few years when a musical artist appearing at the Blue Jay Jazz Festival later in the week is willing to support our Rim students by holding an interactive Master Class that inspires students, current and future, by seeing, hearing and speaking with world class musicians here in our own community.
