You’re invited to an unforgettable afternoon of community, compassion, and impact. Join us on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the award-winning Serendipity Gardens in Lake Arrowhead to help empower veterans, children, and individuals with special needs through sports and recreational programs — all at no cost to the participants. What to Expect: - Charcuterie, artisan cheeses, fine wine, and delectable treats - Live music - Exciting auctions with unique items and experiences Rim of the World Special Athletes Foundation provides a recreational experience that is safe and positive for adaptive individuals. It provides year-round activities for adaptive athletes, serving veterans and individuals from our mountain communities and beyond. Rim Special Athletes are individuals with visual and hearing impairments, amputations, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain Injuries, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Down Syndrome, Autism, as well as many other cognitive and physical disabilities. During the winter we provide various snow-based activities. During the summer Rim Special Athletes "A Day at the Lake" water sports program includes kayaking, aqua biking, stand up paddle boarding, boating and fishing. Our objective is to have the adaptive athletes have fun, learn a new skill, and develop self-confidence from the experience.
