Thursday, August 27 at Tavern Bay Beach Club, the Blue Jay Jazz Festival presents Carl Verheyen, ranked by Guitar Magazine as “One of the World's Top 10 Guitarists.” In 50-plus years of playing, Carl Verheyen has created a wildly successful, multi-faceted career. He is an acclaimed musician, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer and educator with sixteen albums and two live DVDs released worldwide.  Fans first praised Carl as a member of the smash hit British rock group Supertramp in 1985 and he still tours each year to reconnect with them. He’s played on soundtracks for major movies, television shows, and recordings by Christina Aguilera, John Fogarty, Bee Gees, Little Richard, Dolly Parton, Glenn Frey, and B.B. King. Carl has taught private guitar lessons to top professionals like Maroon 5 and John Fogarty, and conducted master classes all over the world.
